To how many significant figures is each quantity expressed?
a. 4.5609 = 5
b. .10 =2
c. 12.3x10 to the -3 power = 3
d. 5310 = 4
e. .0231 = 3
f. 6.1240 x 10 to the 6th power = 4
g. 23642000 = 5
h. .0041962 = 4

Use the definition density = mass/volume to calculate the density of a liquid with a volume of 50.6 mL if that liquid is placed in an empty beaker with a mass of 32.344 g and the mass of the liquid plus the beaker is 84.64g.

Calculate the mass of 17.0 mL of aluminum, which has a density of 2.72 g/mL.
